Speakeasy Soiree Fundraiser Event:

On the evening of February 8, 2014, we held our 1st Speakeasy Soiree at Friday's Creek Winery. It was a huge success and everyone had so much fun mingling, dancing, eating, drinking, and getting pictures taken! Everyone looked fabulous in their 1920's attire, and we can not wait to do something like this again to benefit FHHR.

Best of the Bay:

Freedom Hill Horse Rescue was voted Best Charity in the 2013 Best of the Bay! Thank you for your support and recognizing the work that we do through FHHR!

Grant Recipients:

We are thrilled to announce that we are the recipients of a grant from Dancer's Legacy to help us with our hay and grain purchases. We have also received a grant from the Maryland Horse Industry Board to help us with our volunteer training and equipment for our training team! Thank you Dancer's Legacy and MHIB from the bottom of our hearts! It is because of the generosity of grantors like you that we are able to fulfill the mission of FHHR!!!

This would not have been possible without the work of one of our incredible volunteers. Special thanks and recognition to our amazing and talented volunteer grant writer, Jennifer Purcell, for making these grants a possibility for us by putting together all of the applications!!!

Special Thanks to Our Supporters:

We want to say a great big THANK YOU to Nick Laporte of Graphicsland and Jay Baldwin, Bill Carr and Brian Scrivener of Reliable Contracting Company, Inc for your support! Graphicsland donated our beautiful display banners and Reliable Contracting Company donated a few truck loads of millings to improve our properties where the horses are staying. It is because of your generosity that we can showcase our rescue at events and have sound footing at our various rescue locations!
