Freedom Hill Horse Rescue

Hi There! I’m Diamond! I am a 21 year old, Paint, Mare of beautiful Chestnut color and I stand at 15H. I’m currently located in Frederick, Md.  I am calm and kind. I am guilty of having a stubborn side, but cute enough to get away with it. I’m very affectionate and if you let me rest my head on your shoulder, I may just take a little nap. For some apples and butt scratches, I’m all yours! I’m searching for a forever home that will let me be a pasture puff and companion horse in a flat field. I will add a whole lotta cuteness to your home. I cannot be ridden since I have a stifle and bone spur in my right hind leg. I’m looking for a home as soon as possible since my mom is away at college. Please bring me home with you so I can start bringing a smile to your face. If you can take me home with you, please contact my mom at

Introducing Cocheta!

Cocheta is a 13 Y.O. Leopard Appaloosa mare that stands 14.2H. This absolutely beautiful girl will steal your heart! Cocheta is a very good girl, intelligent and willing. She required an experienced equestrian as she is very green and a clean slate to train your way. She will take a saddle and you can sit on her at the walk and she needs to adjust to the bit but will take one.  Cocheta is well adjusted to life on the farm and all the sounds and animals that come with it, such as, dogs, cats, ducks, trucks and tractors. Her temperament has been rated as a 3 on the 1 (calm) to 10 (spirited) scale. She trailers but hesitantly, no kick, bite or buck. She has had uveitis in the past and is blind in the distal corner of her right eye. She does resist oral paste types of medication but not in a mean spirited way. Cocheta is looking for a kind and loving home. She is currently located in St Leonard, MD. She is a diamond ready to be polished! Please contact Pat at if you are interested.

Hi!  I’m Aero! I am a lovely 9 year old Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse, mare, that stands 16.2H. Mom says I’m a very good girl. I’m ridden English style and I love trail rides. I prefer to be ridden lightly on a regular basis…. On a trail ride!! Did I mention I like those? Yes!! I also love to be scratched. I like to have a lot of friends. I do really well in the field with a lot of friends. I’m a very good girl for the vet and Farrier. I’m barefoot and I load and haul very nicely. I used to get tummy aches a lot, but I take gastro tech supplements twice a day and I’m much better now. Oh yeah… I don’t kick, bite, buck or rear either. I currently live in Damascus, Md. If you are interested in taking me home with you, please contact Sarah at

Hi I’m Mia. I am a beautiful, sleek, 17 year old, Bay, Thoroughbred Mare and I stand at 15.2H. I am a former champion jumper! Mom says I’m an easy ride that is sensitive on the bit and respond well to the leg aids. I need an experienced rider since I get really excited when I’m jumping. I’m more calm going on a trail ride. I love kids and getting love from that one special person I can call my own. I load on the trailer, no kick, no bite, buck or rear. I am also up to date on my vaccines, coggins, farrier and I’m due for the dentist next month. I’m currently located in Columbia, Md. If you would love to take me home and spoil me, you can reach my mom at

Hello! I’m Dolce Vita. As you can see, I have striking good looks to go along with my beautiful name! I am a 16 year old mare of mixed breed Appaloosa with a lovely buckskin color. I stand at 15H. Mom says I’m a very easy keeper and since I’m such a sweetheart, I don’t kick, bite, buck or rear. I will take good care of my rider. I do load on a trailer, but you need to give me an extra few minutes to warm up to it. I move very nicely for western trail riding and equitation. I would love to find a home where I can be ridden regularly and be in a horse show too. That would be just too much fun, wouldn’t it? I do have a bit of cataracts, but it hasn’t affected my vision and it’s a very slow progression. I am up to date on my vaccines, dental, and I’m also barefoot. I am located in Felton, Pa. Bring me home and take me out to play! You can reach my mom at
