When you witness a horse that you feel is being abused or neglected, you need to take down the following information:
- Location?
- How many horses?
- Description of each horse?
- What have you witnessed that is abuse or neglect?
- Is there adequate food, water and shelter?
After you have gathered all of your information, you need to report this incident to your local Animal Control Agency. You need to make sure to stay in contact with the agency while the case is under investigation. You can notify us about the case as well, but we are unable to do anything about the situation unless the owner of the horses or Animal Control asks us to get involved.
